The handsome lines of the Scammell Highwayman tractor hides an A.E.C. 11.3 litre diesel engine as Leyland had taken over Scammell in 1955 but continued the long Scammell tradition of quality build. It is pulling a 30 ton drop frame Dyson semi-trailer of Scammell design with a load far exceeding that.

The locomotive looks to be a ww1 American war department locomotive
